Zhejiang University and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign Institute (ZJUI) hosted the closing ceremony of the Sino-Italian competition "BAMBOO # PAVILION An exhibition pavilion made with Bamboo technology" with the Science and Technology Counselor of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai in attendance.

The ZJU-UIUC Institute is building interdisciplinary Innovation teams of graduate students. The Institute enrolls both M.S. and Ph.D. candidates and continues to grow its research mission. 


Institute graduate programs combine toptier research and innovation from UIUC with counterparts from ZJU. The ZJU-UIUC Institute aims to foster fundamental science-based solutions, comprehensive innovation, and world-class research

practices as it carries out its objectives for global vision and leadership in engineering and science.


The ZJU-UIUC Institute recruits world-class scholars as faculty, research leaders, and project investigators. The Institute explores long-term challenges to solve the problems of tomorrow. During graduate study, students have the opportunity

to work and collaborate at both universities and serve as leaders on the International Campus. Each students has joint supervisors from China and from the U.S.




HOW TO APPLY

ZJUI offers Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil and Environmental Engineeering related areas. Qualified Bachelor and Master students are encouraged to apply for admission to the graduate program. All applications for a PhD program should start with you emailing potential supervisors with your CV and research proposal. They can help you with the next stages of the application process.  Once the supervisor agrees to accept your application, then you can follow up as the application process page described.

2021年硕士研究生招生介绍

 

一.学院简介

浙江大学伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区联合学院(ZJU-UIUC Institute, 简称ZJUI)是浙江大学与美国“十大联盟(Big Ten)”创始成员,被誉为“公立常春藤”,“美国公立大学三巨头”之一的伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区合作设立的中外合作办学学院。ZJUI于2016年2月成立,当年招收本科生和博士生,目前联合学院共有本科生703人、硕士生40人、博士生69人。

ZJUI依托浙江大学和伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区驰名中外的工科专业及长期合作的良好基础进行建设。学院以精细化管理为宗旨,培养学生在科技方面的领导力、团队协作能力,创造卓越的学习体验。目前培养本科专业包括土木工程、电子与计算机工程、电气工程及其自动化、机械工程,硕士专业包括电子信息、能源动力/电气工程、土木水利、机械。学院具备国际一流的师资队伍、教学及科研环境,着重工程科学交叉研究领域,建立学科交叉研究平台,鼓励多学科知识融合、交叉合作,主要交叉研究领域包括工程与系统科学、信息与数据科学、能源与环境可持续工程科学等学科。

学院位于浙江大学国际联合学院(海宁国际校区),海宁市鹃湖科技城核心区块,校园占地面积1200亩,总建筑面积约40万平方米,校园环境优美宜人,校内设有教室、实验室、图书馆、体育馆、健身房、餐厅、书院、校医院等完善的教学科研及生活服务设施。

二.招生计划

ZJUI在2021年计划招收40名专业学位硕士研究生,招生专业包括电子信息、能源动力/电气工程、土木水利、机械四个类别,各专业具体招生人数详见相关专业招生信息。

三.师资力量

ZJUI教师由来自浙江大学、伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区以及全球招聘的优秀师资构成,目前师资来源包括剑桥大学、耶鲁大学、斯坦福大学、加州理工学院、加州大学伯克利分校、帝国理工学院、东京大学、新加坡国立大学等著名高校。

四.培养特色

学科交叉:ZJUI建立学科交叉平台,如工程与系统科学平台、信息系统与数字科学平台、能源与环境工程科学平台等。不同专业背景的教师和研究团队融合协作,面向未来社会的热点工程领域,造就跨领域、多学科知识背景的创新人才。

课程创新:在学校相应专业培养要求的基础上积极探索,实施具有国际化特色的专业学位硕士生培养方案。融合浙江大学和伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区的优秀课程,建设ZJUI研究生精品课程平台。

五.校园服务

     ZJUI的硕士研究生全程入住海宁国际校区书院,书院提供单人间住宿,以及包括免费生活热水、免费健身房、学习室、娱乐室、洗衣房等生活条件。此外,ZJUI计划为2021级硕士研究生提供部分住宿费补贴。

六.常见问题

学籍:浙江大学

学历、学位证书:符合要求的学生将取得浙江大学学历证书和学位证书。

课程修读与科研:主要在浙江大学国际联合学院(海宁国际校区)修读课程、开展科研工作,完成学位论文。

学费:按照浙江大学硕士研究生学费标准收取,8000元/生·学年。

住宿:入住国际联合学院(海宁国际校区)书院,住宿费8000元/生·学年。

奖助学金:按照浙江大学研究生相关政策发放奖助学金,另外将补贴每位学生5000元/生·学年在海宁国际校区书院的住宿费。
