Jian-Ming Jin received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1989. He joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993 and is currently the Y. T. Lo Chair Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Director with the Electromagnetics Laboratory and Center for Computational Electromagnetics.
