Prof. LI Hanying is the Acting Vice Dean of ZJUI and Qiushi Distinguished Professor in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University, China. In Dec. 2009, he completed his Ph.D. degree at Cornell University in the field of materials science and engineering (advisor: Prof. Lara A. Estroff). Subsequently, he did his postdoc work on organic electronics at Stanford University with Prof. Zhenan Bao. He got the MRS graduate student silver award for his Ph. D. research on polymer/single-crystal composites.

李寒莹本科和硕士毕业于浙江大学高分子科学与工程学系，2009年获美国Cornell大学材料系博士学位。之后，在美国Stanford大学做博士后研究。2011年到浙江大学工作。2012年获国家基金委首批优秀青年科学基金资助。2016年获国家基金委杰出青年科学基金资助。其研究致力于将材料有序化与复合化思想有机融合，面向光电应用，形成“单晶复合有机光电功能材料与器件”的独特研究方向。共发表SCI论文97篇，其中，以第一作者/通讯作者身份在Science、 J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Adv. Mater.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等杂志上发表61篇论文。2013年在柏林12th Polymers for Advanced Technologies （PAT） conference上获得首届PAT Lifetime Achievement Award (Junior)。2019年，获Feng Xinde Polymer Prize（冯新德高分子奖最佳文章提名奖）。2017年担任Chinese Chemical Letters杂志执行副主编（Associate Editor）。2019年担任《高等学校化学学报》高分子学科青年执行编委。2020年担任GIANT杂志执行编委（Executive Editorial Board member）。
