Research interests: 

Dr. Gaoang Wang joined ZJUI as an assistant professor in September 2020. His research interests are computer vision, machine learning, image and video processing, including multi-object tracking, pose estimation, deep neural networks and active learning, etc. 

Gaoang Wang received B.S. degree from the electrical engineering department of Fudan University in 2013. He received the M.S. degree from the electrical and computer engineering department of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. He then received Ph.D. degree from the information processing laboratory of electrical and computer engineering department at the University of Washington in 2019. After that, he joined Megvii US office in July 2019 as a research scientist working on multi-frame fusion. He then joined Wyze Labs in November 2019 working on deep neural networks design for edge-cloud collaboration. 


Gaoang Wang participated AI City Challenge held by Nvidia from 2017 to 2019 each year and won the first and second prizes in several tracks. He received the travel grant from Multi-Media Signal Processing workshop in 2017. He served as a reviewer for several renowned academic journals and international conferences, such as T-PAMI, T-MM, T-CSVT, IEEE Access, MMSP, IEEE SPL, ICME, ICASSP, T-II, etc.
