Research interests: 

Prof. Klaus-Dieter Schewe is a Professor at ZJUI. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bonn, Germany, where he completed a PhD in Pure Mathematics in 1985. After several years in industry and industrial research with companies Bosch and Philips he returned to academia working at Universities in Hamburg, Cottbus and Clausthal. In 1995 he completed his DSc in Theoretical Computer Science at BTU Cottbus. Since then he held positions as Associate Professor (1994-1999 TU Clausthal, Germany), Full Professor (2000-2010 Massey University, New Zealand) and Scientific Director (since 2010 Software Competence Center Hagenberg, Austria). He has published more than 300 articles in international journals and conferences. Among others, he is the founder of the conference series Foundations of Information and Knowledge Systems (FoIKS), and he received several awards as a distinguished researcher in New Zealand and Austria.
