师生交流活动圆满举行​

昨天的开学仪式才刚落下帷幕，9月17日一早，代表UIUC工学院各个系来访的教授们就来到书院多功能厅，参与面向2017级新生的师生交流活动。此次活动由ZJUI执行院长Philip Krein教授主持，ZJUI院长李尔平、院长助理陆强及部分ZJUI教师出席。

 

来自UIUC机械系的Taher Saif教授介绍了UIUC机械系的概况并简述了未来机械系学生将学习的课程。土木系Liang Y. Liu教授介绍了土木与环境工程学习的范畴和UIUC土木系的杰出的成果，并通过一些新奇的案例启发学生们的创造力，介绍土木工程的前沿研究方向。电气与计算机系Erhan Kudeki 教授用一系列数据和图片直观向学生们描绘了UIUC电气与计算机系师生构成、学生的学习环境、学习任务等大致情况。UIUC电气与计算机系教授、ZJUI项目学术负责人Jonathan教授则从自己的大学学习经历谈起，向学生提出了若干学习方法和建议，希望同学们将来回首时，不会因虚度光阴而悔恨。

10月6日上午，ZJUI联合学院院长李尔平教授访问新加坡国立大学。访问期间，李尔平院长受到新加坡国际大学副校长黄载贤等人地热情接待，双方探讨两校开展学生交流交换的可能性、交流人才招聘经验、共谋我院发展规划。

Prof. Yanfeng Ouyang holds a B.Eng. in civil engineering (summa cum laude, Tsinghua University, Beijing, 2000), M.S. in civil engineering (University of Washington, 2001), M.S. in industrial engineering and operations research (University of California at Berkeley, 2005), and Ph.D. in civil engineering (University of California at Berkeley, 2005). He has been on the faculty at CEE at Illinois since 2005, where he teaches undergraduate courses in systems engineering and economics, transportation engineering, and public transportation systems, as well
