Prof. Yanfeng Ouyang holds a B.Eng. in civil engineering (summa cum laude, Tsinghua University, Beijing, 2000), M.S. in civil engineering (University of Washington, 2001), M.S. in industrial engineering and operations research (University of California at Berkeley, 2005), and Ph.D. in civil engineering (University of California at Berkeley, 2005). He has been on the faculty at CEE at Illinois since 2005, where he teaches undergraduate courses in systems engineering and economics, transportation engineering, and public transportation systems, as well as a graduate course on logistics systems. His research mainly focuses on modeling transportation, logistics, and infrastructure systems, and applications in military, energy, and agricultural industries. He currently serves as a Department/Area/Associate Editor of IIE Transactions, Networks and Spatial Economics, Transportation Science, Transportation Research Part C, and Transportmetrica B. His work has been recognized by a Merit Award for Technical Study from the American Planning Association, a Walter L. Huber Research Prize from the American Society of Civil Engineers, a Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the U.S. National Science Foundation, among others.
