Tingju Zhu joined the ZJU-UIUC Institute at Zhejiang University as a tenured Associate Professor in December, 2018. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (major in Water Resource Systems Engineering and minor in Agricultural and Resource Economics) in 2004. Prior to that, he earned his B.S.E. and M.S.E. degrees in Hydrology and Water Resources from Wuhan University and Tsinghua University, respectively. From 2005 to 2018, he worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C.

朱廷举博士2004年毕业于美国加州大学戴维斯分校，获土木与环境工程（主修水资源系统工程、副修农业与资源经济学）博士学位。此前他分别于武汉水利电力大学（今武汉大学）和清华大学获得水文学及水资源专业学士和硕士学位。从2005年至2018年他在国际粮食政策研究所（IFPRI）工作，任博士后、研究科学家和研究员，从事水文、工程和资源经济领域的交叉学科研究用于分析全球、区域、和多个国家变化环境下的可持续水资源管理、粮食安全及相关社会经济问题。在此期间，他主持和参加了多项由世界银行等多边国际组织、美国科学基金会等联邦政府机构、经济合作与发展组织国家政府机构，以及其他基金会资助的研究项目，并在组织和开展这些研究的过程中与多个国家的自然科学、工程和社会经济领域的科研和政策分析人员进行了深入的合作。近年来他在几个世界一流大学参加博士论文委员会或合作指导博士研究生，在各种专业协会和国际会议的委员会里任委员或共同主席。他是水资源、气候变化、粮食安全领域多个主要国际期刊的审稿人，目前担任美国土木工程师协会会刊《水资源规划与管理》的副主编。他的研究工作曾获美国地球物理学会《水资源研究》期刊最佳论文奖（2011）、美国地球物理学会《水资源研究》期刊高亮论文（2018）、和美国运筹学与管理科学研究协会（INFORMS）“能源、自然资源与环境——自然资源领域”最佳论文奖（2018）等奖项。

Dr Fangwei Shao graduated from Fudan University with BS and MS in Chemistry. She then moved to USA to pursue her Ph.D. at California Institute of Technology under the supervision of Professor Jacqueline K. Barton from 2002 to 2007. She further obtained postdoctoral research training at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital from 2007-2010 at Professor (M.D.) Ralph Weissleder’s group. She has begun her independent academic career at Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry at Nanyang Technological University
