​On 19th July, 2019, the award ceremony of International Bamboo Construction Competition 2019 was held at garden of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019, Beijing. Professor Xiao, director of Energy & Environment and Infrastructure Department, Cheung Kong Scholar/Qianren Distinguished Professor, was invited as one of the main judge on behalf of Zhejiang University.

7月19日，2019国际竹建筑设计大赛颁奖典礼在北京世园会国际竹藤组织园隆重举行。大赛评委会由9位建筑专家组成，其中我院肖岩教授受邀代表浙江大学担任大赛主要评委。肖岩教授所领导的现代竹结构跨校联合研究团队作为主要参与方和协办者为大赛的举办做了重要工作。

27 teams from domestic and international top universities, such as the University of Southern California, Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tianjin University and so on, gathered in the international campus of Zhejiang University. Strips of distinctive concrete dragon boat, gracefully like a dragon in flight, sailed in the lake of the international campus of Zhejiang University.
