There is a high risk UAF (Use-After-Free) vulnerability in the Chrome V8 JavaScript engine being actively exploited. This type of vulnerability is mainly related to the incorrect use of dynamic memory during operation. If the program does not clear the pointer to it after releasing the memory location, an attacker can use this vulnerability to invade the program, and then execute arbitrary code or escape the control of the browser’s security sandbox. In view of the greater harm of this vulnerability, it is classified as high risk, so it is recommended to upgrade Google Chrome to the latest version.
Affected Versions: Google Chrome before 96.0.4664.110.
Solution: Chrome menu> Settings > About Chrome, upgrade to the latest version (96.0.4664.110).
