1975年，为纪念Nathan M. Newmark教授在结构工程与力学领域的杰出贡献，设立了Nathan M. Newmark 奖章，该奖章由美国工程力学学会和美国结构工程学会评选、美国土木工程师学会颁发，是一项具有较高国际影响力的个人最高学术成就奖。

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has awarded ZJUI Adjunct professor Billie F. Spencer Jr. the 2018 Nathan M. Newmark Medal “for pioneering work, innovations, and leadership in the theory and application of advanced technologies to fundamental problems in structural engineering and mechanics, as well as for his unwavering commitment to education/mentoring of students and professional service.”

On the afternoon of March 23rd, 9 civil engineering students from ZJUI went to the Zijingang Campus to meet with the seniors of the Zhejiang University Branch of the International Students’ Club of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This meeting was to help prepare the students to compete in the 19th “Zhong Tian Cup”, the Undergraduate Structural Design Competition of Zhejiang University.

3月23日下午，ZJUI联合学院土木工程专业参加 “中天杯”浙大第十九届大学生结构设计竞赛的九名学生前往紫金港校区，与美国土木工程师协会国际学生分会浙大分会（简称ASCE）的学长们进行了学习座谈交流。
