Professor Bing-Feng Ju studied mechanical engineering and received his PhD degree in Zhejiang University, China in 1999. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from 2000 to 2002. For a year (2002–2003), he was a research scientist at DSO National Laboratories of Singapore. Since 2003, he has been a JSPS foreigner researcher at Tohoku University Japan and turned to be an assistant professor at 2005. At 2007, he joined Zhejiang University as a full professor.
Professor Ju is the director of the Center for Micro/Nano Manufacturing and System Integration. He has published over 60 peer reviewed journal papers. All these papers have been cited by other scholars for over 500 times. He has won several national awards, such as the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, two Ministerial or Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Prize (First and Second Class, respectively) and world famous scholarships including the Germany Alexander von Humboldt scholarship, Japan JSPS scholarship, etc.
