Institute of China Studies has held its 2016 opening ceremony at the Art & Science Building Atrium.

On the afternoon of September 11, the freshmen of the International Campus, Zhejiang University(ZJU) arrived at Zijingang Campus to attend the opening ceremony for undergraduate students 2016. University officials including ZJU President Wu Zhaohui greeted the students from Haining and took group photos with them.

After two days of orientation activities, September 13 marked the first ever school day of the International Campus. At 8 a.m., the first classes of the International Campus—five English classes—began. The International Campus has brought in the teaching faculty, degree programs, curriculum, teaching resources, quality standard and quality control mechanisms from their cooperative institutions, and all the courses are given in English. To improve teaching quality and students’ learning, a two-week intensive English course is provided for the freshmen.
