9月15日，《浙江大学报》第三版以“国际联合学院：在湄潭遇自己”为题，对国际校区赴贵州湄潭暑期社会实践小分队进行了报道。

9月14日，中国学中心2017级开学仪式在海宁国际校区举行。国际校区常务副院长何莲珍，副院长丁冠中，中国学中心主任范捷平、副主任瞿海东，以及中国学教师代表参加了开学仪式。仪式由中国学2016级学生David和Alesia主持。参加仪式的还有中国学2016级学生代表与中国学中心办公室全体人员。

On May 26th, the first student conference was held at the Multi-purpose Hall of Residential College. All International Campus undergraduate students participated in the event. Fu Qiang (ZJU Assistant President and International Campus Secretary of Party Working Committee and Vice Dean) and representatives from International Campus Office of Student Affairs, Joint Institutes, and Student Union attended the conference.

The inauguration ceremony for 2017 freshmen was held in the stadium on Zijingang Campus in the evening of August 27th. Thousands of parents, friends, and teachers gathered at the ceremony to congratulate the students on joining the big family of Zhejiang University and wish them the very best in embarking on a new journey with passion and confidence.

8月30日至9月14日，海宁国际校区254名学生赴紫金港校区参加了为期半个月的军事训练。编入一团十四连的国际校区学生们满怀热情、众志成城、勇往直前，圆满完成了此次新生军训。

天高云淡，秋风飒爽，浙江大学2017级新生军训正在紫金港校区如火如荼地进行。在炎炎烈日下，教官严格要求、科学训练、亲身示范；学生们精神饱满、斗志昂扬、不断进取。

8月31日下午，整装待训、雄姿英发的新生军训团在紫金港校区迎来了承训官兵。等待多时的新生方阵以一曲嘹亮的《团结就是力量》对教官的到来表示了热烈欢迎。教官们在简短的训话之后，随即开始了训练。

9月8日晚，浙江大学2017级学生军训师合唱决赛在紫金港校区小剧场举行。在全团大合唱比赛中勇夺第一的国际校区学生军训十四连代表一团闯进入师部决赛。

为了帮助同学们树立正确的宗教认识，与国际校区不同宗教信仰的留学生和谐相处，9月10日晚，在同学们参加军训期间，国际校区学生事务部、书院邀请学校党委学工部蔡荃老师在紫金港校区为学生做了题为“民族宗教相关问题解读”教育报告会，持续推进新生始业教育。
