Dr. Lyu is Professor of Civil Engineering and the Assistant Dean of College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Zhejiang University. Professor Lü received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from Zhejiang University respectively in 2001 and 2006. Since then, he has been with Zhejiang University as an Assistant Professor (2006), Associate Professor (2008) and Professor (2013). During this period, he jointly worked as Research Fellow in City University of Hong Kong (2007-2009) and Visiting Scholar in Northwestern University (2010-2012).
His research interests include smart materials and structures, energy harvesting in engineering structures, and mechanics of stretchable/flexible electronics with particular applications in bio-integrated devices.
He has co-edited one book chapter and co-authored 70 refereed high profile international journal articles, including Nature (1), Science (1), Nature Nanotechnology (1), PNAS (3), CSTE (1), IJNME (2), etc. These publications have received more than 1650 self-excluded independent SCI citations with the H-index 22. His recent awards include the second prize in China’s State Natural Science Award (2015), NSFC Outstanding Young Scientist Award (2013), and the Natural Science Award by Ministry of Education (2012). He is now the Vice Director of the Electronic and Electromagnetic Devices Division of Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and the associate editor of Nano Communications.
