2017年4月12日上午，国际校区召开干部大会宣布学校关于国际校区干部任免决定。常务副校长、国际联合学院（海宁国际校区）院长宋永华，副校长应义斌，校党委副书记胡旭阳出席会议并讲话。校长助理、国际联合学院（海宁国际校区）党工委书记兼副院长傅强主持会议。

On April 8th, the first Open Day of Zhejiang University in 2017 was held on its International Campus, which is also the first ever Open Day of the Campus. A series of activities were held including Campus introduction and student recruitment, presentations by Master of Residential College and Deans of Joint Institutes, academic lectures by established professors from partner universities, on-site admissions consultation, and Campus tour. More than 300 students and parents participated in the Campus Open Day activities.

To further strengthen the cooperation with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Professor Ying Yibin, Vice President of Zhejiang University and Executive Vice Dean of International Campus, Professor K. C. Ting, Vice Dean of International Campus, ZJU and Professor Li Er-Ping, Dean of ZJU-UIUC Institute, visited UIUC on March 30th and 31st, 2017.

4月8日，浙江大学2017年首次校园开放日在国际联合学院（海宁国际校区）举行，这也是国际校区2016年9月开始办学后的第一个校园开放日。国际校区组织了办学及招生情况介绍，书院院长和各联合学院的中外方院长专题报告，合作伙伴知名教授学术讲座，现场招生咨询，校园参观体验等系列活动。三百多位考生和家长参加“校园开放日”活动。

为进一步深化与伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区（UIUC）的合作，2017年3月30日至31日，浙江大学副校长、国际联合学院（海宁国际校区）常务副院长应义斌一行对UIUC进行了工作访问。
