Professor Song Yonghua, Executive Vice President of Zhejiang University, Director of Zhejiang University Center for International Education Research, and Chairman of International Education Committee, Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy (IEC) recently published an article entitled Enhancing the Quality of International Student Education in China to Advance "Double First-rate" Plan on China Education Daily. He proposes new ideas for improving the quality of international student education in China in the new era when the establishment of both world-class universities and first-class disciplines is a high priority.

Professor Sten Vermund, Dean of Yale’s School of Public Health, led a delegation to visit international Campus on June 2. Professor He Lianzhen, Executive Vice Dean of International Campus, hosted the visit. She gave an overall introduction on the construction and operation of the Campus. The two institutions held extensive discussions on teaching and research, faculty, and the Campus future strategic intent.

浙江大学常务副校长、浙江大学国际教育研究中心主任、中国教育发展战略学会国际教育专业委员会理事长宋永华教授在《中国教育报》上发表题为《提升来华留学质量助力“双一流”》一文。在全面建设世界一流大学与一流学科新时期下，就提高来华留学教育质量问题提出了新思路。

6月5日，国际校区2017年第一期入党积极分子培训班在国际校区书院开班，来自ZJE/ZJUI的10位入党积极分子参加了培训。校长助理、国际校区党工委书记兼副院长傅强出席开班仪式，并为全体入党积极分子上了第一堂培训课。

6月2日上午，美国耶鲁大学公共卫生学院院长Sten Vermund一行来国际校区交流访问，国际联合学院常务副院长何莲珍会见了来宾并就校区建设及合作办学情况作了详细介绍。双方就校区教学科研、师资力量以及未来发展战略规划等问题进行了广泛交流。

On May 26th, the first student conference was held at the Multi-purpose Hall of Residential College. All International Campus undergraduate students participated in the event. Fu Qiang (ZJU Assistant President and International Campus Secretary of Party Working Committee and Vice Dean) and representatives from International Campus Office of Student Affairs, Joint Institutes, and Student Union attended the conference.
